About Us

East Coast Electrix Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated Townville electrical company established in 2017.

After having lived in regional Western Australia for 7 years, Simon and Kate decided to open an electrical business to enable them to move back to Townsville and start a family. Originally from Bowen, the couple moved to Townsville in 2005 which resulted in Simon completing his apprenticeship at the end of 2008. Upon completion, Simon worked within the residential & commercial sector for a couple of years in the Townsville region, half of this time spent installing Air-conditioning Units for an entire regional mining town. After this they made the move to Western Australia where Simon gained priceless experience within mining sector, which paved the way for Simon to take on an Electrical Supervisor role within Fortescue Metals Group. This position allowed for training and experience in Management which ultimately led to the decision to open their own business.

Safety is our first priority and we conform to Certified Policies and Procedures to ensure the job is done right. We complete JHAs (job hazard analysis) for every job site and have SWMS (safe work method statement) in place for all high-risk job sites.
